For the last month, more or less, we have heard about the Coronavirus non-stopped. People are sick, people have died. Governments have done all they can to try to get a handle on it. People are looking for answers, there looking to their leaders for help, for a cure, for assurance.
Yet in all the news I have read, all the news I have seen on television or on the internet; on all the posts I have read of Facebook or messenger I have not seen any mention of GOD, of asking for His help, His protection, His healing… That is except for one instance…
President Trump declared Sunday, March 15 a National Day of Prayer.
“We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these…. ….No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!”
You may love your president or you may hate your president… you may be a Jew or a Christian, you may be one of many other religions out there, or you may have no religion at all, there is one cure for this vires and it is…
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
If this is manmade we need G-Ds intervention… If it is G-D sent; it won’t be the first time He has sent a plague to get man’s attention, the cure is still the same…

As His creation ( and we tend to forget we are Hid creation) we have turned our backs to Him, we have thrown our own godship in His face. We have become those “other gods” that He warns us not to have as we pick and choose what part of His word, His ordnances, statutes, Judgments and commandments we will or will not keep. We have taken our own “knowledge of good and evil” to justify our action.
Will we acknowledge this wake up call, will we return to YAH with ALL our heart, mind and soul or will we continue to put out trust and faith in men, the government “religion” or the clergy?
Ex 10:3 ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me?
Ex 16:28 “How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?
Nu 14:11 “How long will these people reject Me?” Nu 14:11 “How long will they not believe Me”
Nu 14:27 “How long shall I bear with this evil congregation”
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
“If” is how it starts. YAH gives us a choice. We don’t have to “humble themselves, and pray, and seek His face, and turn from our wicked way”; He will not make us do that. He gave us a free will. The question is, how HARD are our self-righteous hearts that we do not want to acknowledge our creator and that we are His creation and at that made out of dirt?
What would you do as a parent if your kids, your little creations, as it may be, refused to listen to you, follow your instructions? What would you do if you saw your little creations heading down a dangerous road and you could see the end… what would you do?
YAH did not give us a list of do’s and don’ts to show His authority over us or to take the fun out of life. He gave us a list of do’s and don’ts because He knew if we do the “do’s” it would be good for us and we would be blessed.
It’s not necessarily that He would bless us for doing them, but being blessed is the natural result of doing them: just like not doing them brings us trouble. It’s is not that His punishment us for not doing them but rather it is the natural result of doing them.
Let me illustrate this concept …
The law is “don’t steal”; you rob a bank and you go to jail. “Don’t commit adultery”; you have an affair and your spouse files for divorce! You go outside in the rain without a coat and hat and you will get sick… these AREN’T punishments from YAH they are just the natural results for doing them. Do you see the concept? One more then I will stop.
If you study for a test and learn the information you get a good grade; if you watch TV instead of studding you will fail the test. You haven’t been punished by your teacher, it was all of your own doing! You were told by your teacher to study for the test; but the choice was up to you.
So to with YAH. What unfortunately has been translated by the biblical scholars (?) as “law”, which gives the connotation of “do it or else” should have been translated as “teachings and instruction” which is what the word “Torah” means in Hebrew.
They are not laws that if you brake you will be punished for but rather teachings and instruction that show you how to avoid the negative results of not doing them.
Before Adam and eve ate from the tree of good and evil, they only knew how to do the right thing in every situation because all they knew was YAHS way. I guess you could say they were blinded to evil, blinded to the wrong way of doing things. But after they ate their “eyes were opened” and they saw the evil side as well as the good side.
Just a quick side note… you can’t have light without dark, you can’t have health without sickness, you can’t have good with out evil.
Now they had a choice in every situation and from that point on their lives would be changed forever; but it was their choice. So they became like YAH, in the respect that they knew both good and evil, not that they were an equal to Him in any other capacity.
Now with this new knowledge, they had a choice at every fork in the road. They could choose what they wanted to do and by doing so they throw their godship, their ability to override what YAH wanted in His face; thereby braking the very first commandment… “You shall have no other gods before Me.”
Most people do not understand the concept of godship. Most people think O.K. no praying to some other god, when in reality YAH is telling us you need to come back to the Garden, back to the time when only good was the option, when everything went according to His plan. Do you ever wonder why some people pray “Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.”
I am sure you have heard people say “I don’t need to know that”; well the knowledge of evil was one of those “I didn’t need to know” things.
On the upside to this we would never have known YAH’S love, grace and forgiveness, had this never happened. Just because we can experience His love, grace and forgiveness does not mean that His teachings and instructions are void or that we don’t need them in our lives to help us navigate our way through ‘the knowledge of good and evil”.
One of the purpose of what happened on Mt. Sini was … “Let Me show you how to navigate your way back to the Garden without getting hurt”. Unfortunately people are very happy with their own godship, calling their own shots, being that self-made man.
We have been given a wakeup call. The choice is yours, the choice is mine… what will we do with it? “If” his people make the right choice there will be healing for our land, if not, welcome to the new norm and life for us will be changed just like it was for Adam and Eve. It’s my call, it’s your call, it’s our call.
“But as for me and my house, we will serve יהוה” (the LORD.)
