Another One Bites The Dust

The Ten Commandments in The Supreme Court

“But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against יהוה; and be sure your sin will find you out.” Numbers 32:23 As I watch in the news, one influential person after another fall from grace (?); the reality of doing away with Torah comes home. It just not celebrities or influential people but even the little guy like you and me; we just don’t get our sins plastered all over the news or television. In today’s world of “The Torah has been done away with” or “We don’t need to keep it, we are saved by grace” the fact still remains the principals, statutes, ordinances and judgments in Torah are very much alive, applicable and prevalent to us today. When they were spoken by יהוה, they were to be passed down from one generation to the next as “everlasting”. The “fear” of YAH for the most part does not exist anymore. It has been replaced with denial of HIS eternal words; this idea He is all forgiving and the notion that we will not have to give an answer for our sins to Him makes way for a generation of “lawlessness”. We forget that there is someone watching everything we do and don’t do, who sees our hearts and our motives. Yes YAH is forgiving and full of grace but that does not give us the right or license to live outside of His word. On the day we stand before Him to give an answer, I believe in His courtroom the Ten Commandments will still be hanging on the wall as will all His statutes, ordnances and Judgments will fill its bookcases. I can, you can, and we can lie to yourselves and think we have gotten away without having to pay for our sin… But let me just remind us… “Be sure your sin will find you out”
